Design activity always requires specialists to have specific skills and excellent intellectual knowledge, which must be constantly improved. Therefore, from time to time, we find places that motivate, inspire and give freedom of thought to take a break from the work process.
This year, we were able to visit several places: the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi fortress, as well as the town of Vilkovo and the village of Shabo. These are radically different places in terms of perception and dimension. Our trip started from the biosphere reserve in the Odesa Region, where we visited the “zero kilometer”, where the monument of the same name is located on a small island of Ankudinov and which is a unique place, where the Danube River meets the Black Sea.
After a long trip along the estuary, we had a chance to taste the legendary soup that is made with water drawn from the Danube, local wine and herbal tea. There are several hundred islands in the Danube Delta, the largest reed beds in the world are located there, and you can find a unique nature and fauna there. The next day was no less eventful and included a tour of the winery in the Odesa Region, namely the “Shabo Wine Culture Center” and the European Cheese Factory. Here, we saw a medieval castle, Scandinavian minimalism and heavy-duty modern production and tasted delicious cheeses at the European Cheese Factory, all in one place.
In short, it was an unforgettable trip in the company of a tight-knit team and an unforgettable experience. And then, we had a long drive back home, but it was worth it.
Such moments motivate for self-improvement and inspire new ideas and solutions, which is very important in the designer’s work.
