The overhaul provides for the re-equipment and retrofitting of the department.
The treatment conditions in the department provide for single-, two- and tree-bed wards with a bathroom, a sink, and a shower cabin.
The main task of the surgical department, the surgery unit, the anesthesiology and intensive care department is providing scheduled and urgent qualified care, and carrying out surgical and conservative treatment of children with surgical pathologies. For this purpose, the department is fitted out with modern diagnostic and treatment equipment.
The department carries out complex surgical interventions for hydronephrosis, kidney tumors, hypospadias, and a wide range of maxillofacial interventions (staphyloplasty, palatoplasty, cheiloplasty).
Shunting operations are performed in cases of hydrocephalus. Various types of plasties are carried out in cases of burns. Newborns with complex congenital malformations (esophageal atresia, gastroschisis, omphalocele, intestinal obstruction, diaphragmatic hernias) are operated in the department. Endoscopic surgical interventions are widely used.
